Caitlyn Scarlett – “Bad Love”

This is literally the freshest track we’ve yet to post. It was released a few  days ago and has made quite the splash in its short time.

“Bad Love” is a fusion of jazz, pop, and electronic music combined in an interesting and accessible way. The track begins with a thick and lumbering double bass line supporting Caitlyn’s clear, thin voice. Strings are added followed by some simple percussion and the song establishes itself as a solid, jazzy pop piece. Then the turn. Producer Ayo Beatz infuses the track with a subtle, warbling electronic bass that transforms the song from something you would hear in a smoky jazz club to something that could be easily heard bumping at an indie music festival

“Bad Love” is the leading single off of Scarlett’s upcoming EP Juke Box and Other Drugs, which is set for an April release via Ayo’s Illstarz/Seismic Records.
