I am pleased to share a new track from the Sydney trio, Movement. Their new single on Modular, “Ivory,” is another offering of silky-smooth, post-rock goodness. The group concisely accomplishes the aforementioned mood with a pulsating, bass-heavy rhythm section, soft echoing vocals, and the slight incorporation of a string instrument. The end result: pure sex for everyone’s ears.
Keeping in line with Movement’s past singles, this song bypasses typical verse/chorus structure, allowing it to steadily swell into the psychedelic guitar-synth shredding body of music.
“Ivory” furthers the band’s path into the avant-garde by transcending the usual genre categorization.
“Ivory” and the rest of Movement’s self-titled EP comes out May 6 in the US via Modular.
