October is around the corner, but you don’t have to wait for Halloween to get yourself pumped for what this month has to offer. This October, the king of bass AC Slater takes over the Night Bass party with our favorites Jack Beats, Hannah Wants, and Kry Wolf. If you love dirty UK garage’s dirty basslines, then make sure you make an appearance at one of the Night Bass parties in a city near you.
Here are the people running the show:
AC Slater kicked his career off in 2008, with his seminal remix of “Turn the Music Up” on Trouble & Bass and ever since then had a constant output of tracks and remixes includes his best-selling ‘Jack Got Jacked‘ EP. He toured the globe several times and his tunes have been played at every major festival and club in the world and been featured in UK’s BBC Radio 1 and Rinse FM and Australia’s Triple J.
Jack Beats are the multiple award winning DJ duo made up of Niall Dailly (DJ Plus One of Scratch Perverts fame) and Ben Geffin (The Mixologists). They teamed up in 2007 and made their mark with their remix of AC Slater’s “Jack Got Jacked.” The following ‘U.F.O’ EP secured Jack Beats’ reputation, defining the fantastically multi-stranded sound that’s all over their music.
Hannah Wants, notorious for her hard-hitting bass house style, is a self taught DJ from Birmingham. Over the past few years, as this new genre of house music has quickly risen to the forefront of the scene, Hannah has securely taking the reigns as its leading lady. Hannah’s newest release “Signs” with Chris Lorenzo feat. Janai is out now on Ultra Music with her tracks and mixes continuing to create waves and gaining momentum with every release.
Kry Wolf are quickly becoming recognized as one of the UK’s most exciting underground players due to their distinctively creative and varied production style and consistently strong releases. Raising the bar with their smash “Turbosteppa,” a collaboration with Dirtybird label boss Claude VonStroke, the duo are also behind two of the most exciting labels around at the moment, Sounds of Sumo and Food Music.
