Olafur Arnalds and Nils Frahm – “a2”

Long have we been fascinated by the visual part of music. So easily are we able to close our eyes and allow sound to inspire images that seamlessly flow into and out of themselves, in hues that could only exist in our minds. Michael Zoidis and Jodie Southgate capture that synesthetic quality of music in their video for Nils Frahm and Olafur Arnalds’ “a2.” The gently building ambient piece of cosmic epicness is perfectly described by this imaginative manipulation of fluid color. The video combines optical and aural stimulation to accentuate an already emotionally rich experience.
