Melbourne trio Stonefox follow up their widely popular, then-out-of-nowhere track “All I Want” with yet another heartfelt and honest song. “Heart” immediately resonated with me and stood out due to its simplicity. I feel as though most of the tracks that have been gaining traction these past few years have been getting more and more complex, shoving more and more stimulus into your face. It’s like the music is shouting “look at me!” starving for attention. We give that attention but, as is more often than not the case, attention easily won is easily lost.
“Heart’s” simplicity is refreshing and innocent and will undoubtedly still be something that I find refreshing and innocent a year from now. Until their debut album’s eventual release we will have our ears tuned expectantly towards Australia.
