TĀLĀ – “The Duchess”

Fans of Jai Paul and that particular brand of bass-heavy tracks with glitchy, sharp percussion will love this track by TĀLĀ. It pairs those elements with a somber moaning string lead that flows into ethereal reverb-drenched vocals that wouldn’t be out of place on a Grimes track. There are a lot of 80’s influences in this piece but it is very much a modern production with modern sensibilities. As the first full track by TĀLĀ, “The Duchess” holds the promise of greatness to come. Let’s keep our eyes peeled, eh?
