Young & Sick Debut Album

Chill, smooth, delicious, and groovy would be some well chosen words to describe Young & Sick‘s debut album. Nick Van Hofwegen is the Dutch mastermind behind the project, which fuses his unique artwork and more recent passion for music creation. Having previously created artwork for artists such as Foster the People, Maroon 5, and Robin Thicke, Young & Sick is by no means new to the creative side of the music industry, and by chasing after a music career himself, he has been able to not only spread his artwork’s fan base, but has now secured himself as one of the best new musical artists to watch of 2014.

We caught a glimpse of the new album a few weeks ago under Hype Machine‘s artist spotlight, and since then we have been captivated by the ingenuity, playfulness, and crispness each track of the album exudes. The fresh play on R&B style music, along with the creative vision behind the project, makes Young & Sick one of the brightest up and coming creatives this year had to offer.

He’s also playing at Coachella, so if you either missed him weekend 1 because you were one of those people who didn’t leave the Sahara (Electronic) Tent, or because you’re going weekend 2, be sure to check out his set. Check out the rest of his tour dates below and for now you can still buy it the old fashioned way or stream it via Spotify.
